Three individuals with criminal pasts were arrested in Buenos Aires for scamming a Japanese tourist out of her belongings. The criminals, posing as couriers, stole jewelry and fled in a car but were quickly found by police.

Three criminals were arrested in the Villa Ortúzar neighborhood of Buenos Aires accused of scamming a tourist and stealing her belongings. The suspects had criminal records for homicide, robbery, and aggravated concealment. The incident occurred at a building located on Urdininea Street 1700. The victim, a Japanese national, was approached by the suspects, who posed as people bringing money for her son. After committing the robbery, they fled in a black Fiat Mobi. Immediately, as confirmed to the Argentine News Agency, an alert was issued through the police system, so officers from the 15C Neighborhood Police Station conducted a search in the area and managed to locate the vehicle at the intersection of Giribone and Altaguirre streets, where they began a pursuit and stopped it at Gándara 3300. Upon identifying the vehicle's occupants, the agents found the stolen rings, all of gold, so they were arrested. The three accused, aged 30, 36, and 29, had records for homicide, robbery, aggravated concealment, and attempted robbery. In the procedure, the car used for the robbery was seized, as well as cash, jewelry, plastic ties, latex gloves, pepper spray, a knife, and vehicle documentation.
